Sometimes we humans kept on thinking about ourselves, how others ignores us and how much we want their attention, but just imagine how God feels every time your doing that to him.. that while you’re too busy seeking the attention of others, there’s a God out there whose trying His best for you to notice Him too..

They say…

They say that the pen is mightier than the sword.

Wouldn’t the pencil be even mightier? You can do the same stuff and even erase and do the whole thing over again.

Rebel?

If being a rebel means being a sinner, but when everyone’s sinning, is it still rebellious to sin?

Wouldn’t a rebel now do what is righteous?

About Faith

here’s another old post that I made on February 22, 2007

———

I’ve been thinking quite a while about the battle between good and evil as a matter concerning my faith as a Christian.

Usually people say that since there is good then there must be evil. Well, for some time I haven’t found an explanation and eventually I let the matter be.

Not long ago, that matter came back to me and after some thinking, I couldn’t accept that evil exists because there is good. That would be the same as saying that God is responsible for the evil of man.

I don’t know why or how, but I believe God put the thought in my mind. About how the analogy of light and dark is used to represent good and evil. I began to think of an empty room and what would happen if there was light inthat room. Every corner of that room would be lit, not to be found a single shadow.

From that someone could say that good so there is evil/evil because there is good is not true. Darkness doesn’t exist where there is only light. So what creates the darkness?

If an object were placed in that room, it would block the light thus casting a shadow or a dark area. In my thoughts, I found what creates evil; the sin mankind commits.

From that I know what is to be fought…sin that blocks the love of our Heavenly Father.
This is what I will pursue, a life far from sin that I may please God. I know it won’t be easy but I believe He’s on my side guiding me on this path.

God Bless You All

Lesson from Above

this is actually a post i did on a different blog on February 11, 2006

———

well over the past years i’ve been through a few heart shattering experiences…from those experiences i often turned to sin eventhough i said that i believed and trusted in Jesus…

i came to ask God why most of the people i loved had treated me the way they did, coming to me only when they were troubled but forgetting and leaving me alone when everything was okay with their lives…

then He said to me, “Now you know…now you know how I feel, you act like that with Me too…”

from that i admitted that i had came to the Lord when i was troubled but leaned own myself when i felt that everything was fine…and i began to ask myself…you’ve felt that kind of feeling from just a few people…Jesus delt with that feeling from almost everyone on this planet…and you don’t even know how many people are there on this planet…could you even comprehend experiencing that from the each and every human??

the answer i could find was ‘no’…there’s no way i could bear that kind of pain…

inspite of all that pain…still He forgives, if only we’d ask

that’s the kind of love i’ve learned about…that’s the kind of love i’m learning to show…that’s my lesson from above…that’s the kind of love every Christian should and must have…that’s what i can share to you=)

be blessed=)

God’s Origami

Here’s another devotional I thought I would share:

READ: Romans 8:22-30

We are [God’s] workmanship, created in Christ Jesus. —Ephesians 2:10
———————————————————————————————————

Not long ago, I attended a class in origami, where I learned that the term comes from two Japanese words that mean “folding paper.” In this process, a piece of paper is transformed into a bird or other unique shape by a series of geometric folds and creases.

Our facilitator was Hitoshiro Akehi, a Japanese brother in Christ. As we folded our paper into different shapes, Mr. Akehi shared some of his life experiences. The youngest of 11 children, he was raised by his mother after his father died during World War II. Through many twists and turns, his family came into contact with missionaries. As a result, many of his family members became Christians.

As I refashioned a simple piece of paper into a beautiful new form, I thought of how God shapes us. First, He uses circumstances to bring us to our knees and to Him. Then, by grace He continues to use life’s twists and turns to reshape us into more Christlike persons, “conformed to the image of His Son” (Rom. 8:29).

Has your life taken an unexpected turn? Remember, in the hands of our Creator and Redeemer, we are “[God’s] workmanship, created in Christ Jesus” (Eph. 2:10). We are His unfinished works of art. God can use the twists and turns in our lives to make us more like His Son.  — Dennis Fisher

Have Thine own way, Lord! Have Thine own way!
Thou art the Potter, I am the clay;
Mold me and make me after Thy will,
While I am waiting, yielded and still. —Pollard

Christians are God’s works in progress.

Agents Of Change

I came upon this during my daily devotionals. I found it both intriguing and inspirational so I thought that I’d share it here.

READ: 2 Timothy 2:19-26

If anyone cleanses himself … , he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified and useful for the Master, prepared for every good work. —2 Timothy 2:21
———————————————————————————————————

With 4 years of seminary under my belt, I walked into my first ministry with a long agenda. As a new pastor, I thought I was there to change that place. Instead, God used that place to change me.

The board members were supportive, but they relentlessly kept my feet to the fire in administrative details. I needed to learn how to work with lay leadership, how to be careful in my work, and how to dream with others.

We often think God has assigned us to change the world around us when in reality He is interested in changing us. Why? To make each of us “a vessel for honor, sanctified and useful for the Master, prepared for every good work” (2 Tim. 2:21). God often uses the most unlikely people in the most unlikely places to teach us some of life’s most difficult lessons. And just when we think we’ve arrived, He is instructing us further.

Not long ago I entered a new season of ministry. I may be a “seasoned veteran,” but I’m still learning, still growing, and still amazed at how God continues to shape this vessel for His noble purposes.

If you want to be an agent of change, don’t resist the true Agent of Change. He has your best interest—and His—at heart! — Joe Stowell

What changes we would love to make
In others’ lives, for Jesus’ sake!
But first we must learn at His feet
The things that will make us complete. —Branon

Only when we are changed can we be agents of change.

Reflection for today…

Just want to share something the pastor said in the service yesterday:

~ Cherish the good deeds of others no matter how minor it may be, and forgive the wrongdoings of others no matter how major it may seem.~
